Anti Wrinkle

Abnormal function of the muscles of the eyes and face causes twitching, torticollis, strabismus, blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm (twitching of the eyes and face). This twitching or spasticity can be treated by paralysing small areas of the affected muscles using injections. Anti-wrinkle treatment is the use of these same injections to treat the dynamic skin lines during smiling or frowning that we all know as wrinkles. It is very safe and used by millions of people worldwide every year.

How it is administered

Anti-wrinkle injections must be tailored to each patient. Before injecting, numbing cream and ice packs are applied to the skin to reduce any sensation of pain. First time treatment with anti-wrinkle injections requires a lower than standard dose, which is then titrated to your individual response. The total dose used varies depending on your condition. Once your dose and location of injections has been confirmed, following visits occur 3-4 times per year. 

Temporary side effects include focal pain, swelling & bruising. An occasional over correction can arise due to variations in sensitivity to anti-wrinkle injections; this wears off slowly, over weeks.
